How I Got Acknowledged in NVIDIA’s Hall of Fame 🏅

I hope you all are doing well and continuing to secure our digital world 🌍🛡️

Today, I’m sharing how I got acknowledged and added to the Hall of Fame by NVIDIA 🚀🏆

Currently, NVIDIA stands at the No. 1 position in the world, ahead of giants like Google and Microsoft, which shows the incredible level they are operating on.

Most people are already familiar with NVIDIA, but for those who aren’t NVIDIA is known for its powerful graphics cards for gaming 🎮, advanced AI chips 🤖, robotics infrastructure, and large-scale AI innovation.

🚀 The Hunting Journey

As we all know, many of the world’s best hackers and security researchers are actively hunting on NVIDIA’s assets, so finding anything valuable is very rare.

But yes I was able to discover something important 🔥

As usual, I started with subdomain enumeration 🔍 using prebuilt wordlists along with my personal custom wordlists.

I fingerprinted technologies, checked inputs and application flows through Burp Suite, and during testing, I came across a WordPress endpoint.

🧪 The Discovery

I found the following endpoint on one subdomain:

/wp-json/wp/v2/users/

This endpoint was leaking user information, including superuser details, admin names, metadata, and some PII-related information ⚠️

Many companies do not accept this type of issue, but in this case, I could clearly see sensitive administrative information being exposed.

I strongly believed it was worth reporting responsibly 📩

📩 Reporting & Recognition

After proper validation, I submitted the report through responsible disclosure.

And yes NVIDIA accepted the report ✅

After a few days, they fixed the issue and acknowledged my contribution.

NVIDIA Response

This proved to me why NVIDIA is currently No. 1 they do not compromise on security at any level, whether the issue is Low, Medium, or Critical severity.

In my case, it was marked as Medium Severity, but what impressed me the most was that NVIDIA also acknowledges even Low severity bugs through their Hall of Fame and values researchers who help improve security 🙌
