Today, I want to share how I earned an appreciation certificate as a bug hunter from NASA (Government of the USA) through Bugcrowd. 🏆

The Backstory 📖

First of all, I wanted to write this in detail for learners and new bug hunters to help them. Unfortunately, Bugcrowd warned me about one of my earlier articles where I shared how I got into NASA’s Hall of Fame. While I didn’t disclose or leak any sensitive information in that article, they still emailed me and asked for its removal. 🚨

To maintain good behavior and follow their rules, I removed the article. Bugcrowd kindly only deducted 1️⃣ point from my total score (out of 5) as a warning. They also mentioned that if I repeated such actions, they would ban me from the platform. 🚫

So, I can’t go into deep detail here but will provide helpful tips instead. 🛠️

The Achievement 🎉

The bug I discovered was classified as a P3 (Priority 3) vulnerability. 🐞 While some of my earlier reports were marked as duplicates or categorized as “informational,” this particular report was resolved successfully. ✅

As a token of appreciation, I received an official letter of recognition from NASA via Bugcrowd, which was a proud moment for me! 📝🌟
